Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Lorraine Kelly and Michelle Keegan are among the famous faces who have gone make-up free to help raise money for this year’s BBC Children in Need.

The women have been joined by TV star Olivia Colman, singers Rochelle Humes, Laura Mvula and Ella Eyre and internet sensation Tanya Burr in posing for renowned celebrity photographer Rankin without their make-up to help promote the annual BareFaced campaign.

The charity is now appealing to other women across the UK to post pictures of themselves online without make-up in the run up to Children in Need’s Appeal day on November 14th.

They want the public to show their support by posing with Pudsey Pawprints, which are being sold in Boots stores across the country and online.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor, 35, said: “I’m delighted to be joining the 2014 BearFaced campaign alongside so many phenomenal women, from Olivia Colman, to BBC Children in Need project workers, the people who are out there, making a difference to young lives.

“It is a campaign that brings women together from across the UK, and is something I am very proud to be a part of.

“So I am asking for women across the UK to pop to Boots, pick up a Pawprint and have a #BearFaced moment today, a simple act that will go on to help change young lives.”

Olivia Colman, 40, added: “Please join me in showing your support for BBC Children in Need by having a BearFaced moment this year.

“Whether it is a five minute moment or a one hour moment, I want to see your beautiful bare faces across the UK, but don’t forget your Pawprint!”

Former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan, 27, said: “I am calling on women from across the UK to take some time this week and have a #BearFaced moment, all you need to do is swap your makeup for a Pawprint, this one small act will go on to make a huge difference.”

It is the third year in a row that Children in Need have run the campaign, with participants asked to share their pictures at bbc.co.uk/pudsey.

Kimberley Walsh, Suki Waterhouse and actress Sheridan Smith starred in last year’s campaign, while Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery has also supported the charity.
