The currently disused building has caught the eye of the English Man In New York singer
It’s one of London's best-loved buildings which is being turned into thousands of flats for some lucky homeowners.
And singer Sting has become one of the first to sign up for a swanky pad within Battersea Power Station.
Speaking about his incredibly located new London pad, he said: “I've been an Englishman in New York for most of my life, but last month Trudie and myself visited Battersea Power Station.
“I have never been that close. I found it have a kind of austere beauty, a kind of steam punk beauty, and full disclosure, yesterday Trudie and I bought an apartment.”
He continued, playfully joking: “It seems to have been love at first sight, and if you want me as a neighbour, I can promise you that I am very well behaved.
“My former neighbours in London were the Queen, the Prime Minister, and they haven’t complained. I don't practice in the house, I’m house trained. I’m not telling you which apartment it is, but it’s very nice"
Sting and Trudie already own homes in Malibu, New York, Tuscany, north London and Wiltshire but this latest one is surely going to top their property portfolio.
It’s thought the couple will be treating themselves to one of the penthouses, which some experts have suggested could cost a whopping £30million. It’s alright for some, eh?
His exciting flat news came as he performed a number of tracks at a private concert for the Battersea Power Station launch party in New York last night. During the 30-minute private concert, Sting sang songs from his new musical The Last Ship, which recently opened on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre.
Not disappointing those in attendance he also belted out classic hits such as an Englishman in New York, Every Little Thing She Does is Magic and Every Breath You Take.
