Taking the battle to the boardroom! Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore had a long, contentious history before they signed up to compete against one another on season seven of The Celebrity Apprentice. And now that they're both after the same prize, their rivalry is getting even more intense.
"I'm just trying to take it all in. You can tell right away who wants to be heard and stand out," Glanville, 41, told Us Weekly of her fellow contestants, who include Kate Gosselin, Geraldo Rivera, Vivica A. Fox, Kevin Jonas, and Ian Ziering. "I'm kind of weeding out who is the biggest narcissist of the group."
Her verdict? "Kenya," she said, laughing. (Moore and Glanville have frequently butted heads in the past via social media, and even got into what Flipping Out star Jeff Lewis described on Watch What Happens Live as a "knockdown, slap-down s--tshow" of a fight at a Bravo party in 2013.)
Asked how the conflict between them might play out during the season, Eddie Cibrian's ex quipped, "We might have to put boxing gloves on. Actually, she would kick my ass for sure. I'm not scared of anyone, but physically she'd probably take me out."
Which is not to say Glanville is ready to concede the moral victory. "I mean, I knew she was doing the show when they asked me to do it, and I was like, 'Bring it!'" the mom of two boys declared.
Moore, for her part, told Us she was excited to be filming something that wasn't Housewives. "There's only so much negativity and toxicity you can take," she said of the Bravo franchise.
That didn't stop her from throwing a little shade in Glanville's direction, though. "She's not competition for me," the former Miss USA, 43, said of her rival. "She's out of her league here, particularly with me. She doesn't want to fight with me. I mean, if it were a bar setting, I think she would do okay. If it were a drinking competition, okay. But this is not that."
Glanville said it's exactly that kind of attitude that motivates her to win. "I originally didn't want to do the show because it was time away from my kids, but then I thought, 'Maybe I'll do this just so that people can see I'm not crazy drunk Brandi all the time,'" she joked, adding that she's counting on her fellow contestants to underestimate her. "I think that people are not expecting much from me."
