HONEY Boo Boo’s adult sister Anna Marie “Chickadee” Cardwell has spoken out about her claims that she was molested by convicted sex offender Mark McDaniel.
McDaniel is allegedly now romantically involved again with her mother, June “Mama June” Shannon.
The family, who shot to fame with the American reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, has been under intense scrutiny in the past week since reports emerged that Shannon was again dating a man who had allegedly molested one of her daughters. The day after the news broke, the family’s reality series was cancelled.
Now, Honey Boo Boo’s older sister, 20-year-old Cardwell, has given a tearful interview talking about the man who she alleges molested her when he originally dated her mother and she was just eight years old.
Asked what she’d like to do to McDaniel, Cardwell said:
“I would look at him in disgust and spit in his face and say, ‘You f**king leave or I’m gonna call the cops. You’re not supposed to be here, you know what you did.’

“It’s Mama’s fault. She has to live with it. She has brung the past back and now she can’t get it away. I’m mad. I’m upset. I feel betrayed. I feel very hurt. That’s the main thing that I am — I feel very hurt that Mama let him come around.”
While Mama June has publicly denied she is seeing her ex again, the pair have been photographed laying on a bed in a hotel room together.
McDaniel, 53, was convicted of aggravated child molestation in 2004 for “forcing oral sex on an eight-year-old child,” according to TMZ.
McDaniel was released from prison in March following a 10-year prison sentence.
Cardwell has three younger sisters, all of whom are under Mama June’s care: Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, 18; Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 14; and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 9.
In the interview, she offered some advice to her younger siblings: “Don’t get too close. Don’t get too attached. Don’t be all lovey-dovey on him because you never know what will happen.”
Cardwell also said she was angriest at her mother, accusing her of putting her romantic relationship before the welfare of her children.

“It’s like she’s happy. She’s smiling and giggling when he’s around. You know, he’s a child molester, Mama. He did this to me. Why would you let him come around the girls knowing what he did? And reportedly done it to another girl? And Mama was like, ‘Oh, he never done it to another girl.’”
Despite an entire new season of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo having been shot and ready to go, American network TLC last week announced they were axing the show, effectively putting an end to the family’s television careers.
The network told the New York Post that “TLC has cancelled the series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately. Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children’s ongoing comfort and wellbeing.”
