When Johnny Depp appeared to slur his words at the Hollywood Film Awards it was only a matter of time until Twitter chimed in.
Reactions to the actor's speech came fast and furious shortly after he took to the stage to present a documentary award at the glitzy event on Friday.
Many people were quick to accuse the 51-year-old of having one too many while finding his appearance humourous.
One user wrote: "The price of watching a self indulgent Hollywood awards show: Johnny Depp blonde(ish) and drunk. And yet... still hot."
Another joked: "Johnny depp drunk at the Hollywood film awards that was the funniest thing I have ever saw, he was like captain jack sparrow."
One tweet quipped: "Congrats, Johnny Depp , you're about to become an Internet meme."

One user tweeted: "Don't know if I should be worried about or embarrassed for Johnny Depp at the Hollywood Film Awards."
Last night's ceremony was the first televised edition in the event's 18-year history.
Johnny first irked suspicion that something wasn't right when he said 'that's the weirdest microphone I've ever seen in my life' before looking at the audience and asking 'right?'
He then proceeded to tell those in attendance that he would read off the autocue before presenting the documentary award for Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon.
