But the former Gladiator seems keen to keep a smile on his face and was snapped hanging out with a very stunning and scantily-clad brunette this week, on their way to London's Novikov.
Walking close by the aspiring actress, named as Jess Impiazzi, David appeared fairly happy despite his recent break-up.
Still, perhaps he's got used to this up-and-down situation now.
Wearing a tight white patterned dress, Jess showed off serious amounts of cleavage in the plunging number, and didn't let the legs and boobs rule stop her as she showed off her toned legs and glowing tan too.
Wearing her long hair loose, she bore a slight resemblance to Kelly - but maybe David just has a type and he likes to stick to it.
Former CBB star David, meanwhile, looked effortlessly cool in a tan leather jacket, jeans and a cap and he kept close by his companion.
They were snapped jumping into a taxi together, and while they were surrounded by friends, these two looked close the entire time.
Clearly having had a great night out, David posted a snap with his pals and three women including Jess, writing: "Big night yesssss @ricciguarnaccio @ocaro123 strong effort boys and girls."
It comes just days after TV star Kelly announced she'd once again split from the hunky star.
The stunning model revealed she's "happy and single" while chatting to The Sun at a fundraising event in Hollywood on Sunday night.
She told the newspaper: "I’m very happy. I am a single, happy girl living in a great town and working with fantastic people.
“I am living out here – it’s fantastic. I have a great job, I’ve got great friends. I just surround myself with positive, nice people and that’s all you can do. It’s just part of life.
"Maybe it’s not my time to find love at the moment. I just get to focus on myself. There are more important things in the world."
