TV personality Myleene was oozing Klass last night as she promoted the Littlewoods Christmas campaign on London's South Band.

Putting her row with Labour leader Ed Miliband on ITV's The Agenda firmly behind her, the former Hear'Say singer slipped into floor-length royal blue sequin frock with white dip-died skirt as she dressed up as the genie from the brand's Christmas telly advert.

Writing on Twitter about the event where she was granting wishes to members of the public, she said: "Doing something very special tonight Xmas presents and granting wishes as a genie. Watch this space."

Last night Ed laughed off his TV debate with the former pop star by hitting back at her on Twitter.

The Labour leader clearly saw the funny side of the row over the proposed 'mansion tax' and decided to joke about it, posting: "Here's why our NHS needs a mansion tax. It's Pure and Simple.."

He was referring to Myleene's old band Hear'Say, formed on talent show Popstars, and their biggest hit Pure and Simple, which reached the top spot in the charts in 2001.

Miliband tweeted a link to a blog post for his 357,000 followers where Labour set out the arguments for its mansion tax on homes worth more than £2million.

In the 500-word statement, he outline six things people need to know about the tax and claimed it will raise about £1.2billion and 'protect those who are asset-rich but cash-poor'.

Millionaire Myleene, 36, was blasted for being "out of touch" by TV viewers after confronting Miliband about the 'mansion tax' and Twitter users joked about her, with one posting: "Poor Myleene Klass How Does She Live?"

During her appearance on The Agenda, she told Miliband: "For me, it's so disturbing – the name in its own right: 'mansion tax'.

"Immediately you conjure up an image of these Barbie-esque houses, but in London, which is where 80 per cent of the people who will be paying this tax actually live, have you seen what that amount of money can get you? It’s like a garage.

"When you do look at the people who will be suffering this tax, it's true a lot of them are grannies who have had these houses in their families for a long, long time."

She added: "The people who are the super-super rich buying their houses for £140million, this is not necessarily going to affect them because they've got their tax rebates and amazing accountants. It's going to be the little grannies who have lived in those houses for years and years."
