THE Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul finally has a confirmed home for Aussie viewers, and it’s not on free-to-air, Foxtel or Netflix.

It will be fast-tracked on the newly launched streaming service named Stan. Stan is promising to be Australia’s first real alternative to Netflix yet. Coming from StreamCo, its purpose is to be the first Australian streaming product that Aussies will actually want to use.

Like Netflix and fellow Aussie competitor, Quickflix, the service will offer an all you can eat TV and movie option for a set monthly price with no ads. While no official pricing is confirmed yet, it’s expected to be around $10 a month. The same as other Quickflix and Foxtel’s movie offering Presto.

In terms of content, the only shows announced for the service have been Breaking Bad, and of course its anticipated spin-off Better Call Saul. On top of that StreamCo promises to run “thousands of hours of entertainment, with first run exclusives, award-winning TV shows, classic catalogue, blockbuster movies and an exciting slate of kids content.”

Partnerships are also being discussed with internet providers to offer options that won’t count towards users data limits, much like Foxtel Play and Telstra.

The service itself will launch at the start of 2015, most likely around the same time as Better Call Saul is released in February. However, you can sign up for updates on the service’s website now.

And no, Stan was not named after the Eminem song.
