Dad-of-three Peter attempted to make a joke about Iceland on Celebrity Juice and it majorly backfired - but he's not alone
Peter Andre is facing calls from his fans for Iceland to drop him as ambassador, after he made a joke about their adverts being embarrassing on Celebrity Juice.
But while Iceland have backed him, and seen the funny side, more celebrities haven't been so lucky in the past.
TV star Peter appeared on the ITV2 show last week, and joked about appearing in the new Iceland adverts - hinting it was embarrassing.
It began when Keith picked on Olly Murs winning 'Rear of the Year' - which Olly found embarrassing - and Peter replied: "Olly, dude, you don't need to be embarrassed, I've done an Iceland advert."
But Iceland have stuck by him and tweeted that he was clearly "joking".
But from fellow Iceland ambassador Kerry Katona's public sacking, to Kate Moss' cocaine shame and comedy duo Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross' BBC suspension, there's been a few stars left red-faced.
Here are a few memorable examples:
Kerry Katona dropped from Iceland
Kerry wasn't as lucky as Peter appears to have been, and was dropped by the food retailer Iceland after drugs allegations.
The star was pictured in a Sunday newspaper allegedly snorting white powder at her home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, in 2009.
Iceland bosses, who had stood by her during her well-publicised problems over the year, decided this was the “final straw”.
Kerry later admitted the drug problem, saying she would stay in bed for days at a time taking cocaine.
She is now clean having battled the addiction successfully.
Stacey Solomon stripped of Mum of the Year title
Fellow I'm a Celebrity winner Stacey was stripped of her Mum of the Year title in 2012 after being pictured smoking while seven months pregnant.
In a statement, organisers said at the time: "Stacey has apologised to the people at Foxy Bingo and is sorry and embarrassed by her actions.
"We understand Stacey is doing everything she can to stop smoking and in recent times has cut back dramatically.
"She's naturally disappointed but accepts Foxy Bingo's decision."
Stacey apologised, and said: "It's something I'm not proud of and I'm really, really struggling with in general."
John Galliano fired by Christian Dior
Dior creative director John Galliano was fired by the fashion house in 2011 after he was caught on film shouting anti-Semitic abuse at people in a Paris bar.
Black Swan star Natalie Portman spoke out at the time, saying: "As an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr Galliano in any way."
He was fired by the fashion giant shortly after, and later apologised "unreservedly" for his behaviour.
"Antisemitism and racism have no part in our society. I unreservedly apologise for my behaviour in causing any offence," Galliano said at the time.
Kate Moss dropped by H&M after cocaine scandal
Kate Moss was fired from several campaigns, including H&M, in 2005 after photos were published of her snorting cocaine.
She has since spoken out about the drugs shame, and detailed her road to recovery.
"I take full responsibility for my actions," she said in a statement at the time.
"I also accept that there are various personal issues that I need to address and have started taking the difficult, yet necessary, steps to resolve them.
"I want to apologise to all of the people I have let down because of my behaviour, which has reflected badly on my family, friends, co-workers, business associates and others."
Rihanna dropped from Nivea for her raunchy character
This is ironic. Rihanna was dropped by Nivea in 2012 over her party girl lifestyle - despite her appearing naked for the campaign itself.
The raunchy advert was pulled for being too sexy, and cosmetic tycoon Stefan Heidenreich said at the time: "The advert starring Rihanna was a no go. I do not understand how Nivea can be brought into association with Rihanna."
Tiger Woods fired from Gillette
Pro golfer Tiger Woods was dropped by shaving brand Gillette in 2010 after his string of affairs was sensationally revealed.
He was also dropped by Pepsi, Accenture and US telephone giant AT&T after the revelations.
Woods made an emotional apology for his infidelity shortly after.
"I was unfaithful, I had affairs and I cheated. What I did was unacceptable," he said at the time.
"I hurt my wife, my kids, my mother, my wife's family, my friends, my foundation and kids all around the world who admired me."
Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross suspended by BBC
They might have shot back into the limelight since, but who could forget when comedy duo Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand were fired by the BBC in 2008?
It came in the wake of the controversy over their lewd calls to Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs.
The decision came as the BBC received 18,000 complaints over the furore.
They both apologised after making offensive remarks live on air, and have both since returned.
Gilbert Gottfried fired as AFLAC voice after Japan joke
Comedian Gilbert Gottfried was fired as the voice of the Aflac duck in 2011, after making controversial and insensitive jokes about the Japan earthquake tragedy.
"Gilbert's recent comments about the crisis in Japan were lacking in humor and certainly do not represent the thoughts and feelings of anyone at Aflac," Michael Zuna, a senior VP and chief marketing officer for the company, said in a statement at the time.
Aflac reportedly called itself Japan's number one insurer at the time.
Gottfried had tweeted: "I just split up with my girlfriend, but like the Japanese say, 'They'll be another one floating by any minute now'."
He later apologised, telling the Hollywood Reporter: "I sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by my attempt at humor regarding the tragedy in Japan."
He added: “I meant no disrespect, and my thoughts are with the victims and their families."
Sharon Stone axed by Christian Dior
Actress Sharon Stone was dropped from Christian Dior's Chinese adverts in 2008 after making controversial remarks about its devastating earthquake - suggesting it might have been karma over its treatment of Tibet.
Shortly after she said she was "deeply sorry" for causing anguish and anger among Chinese people.
"Due to my inappropriate words and acts during the interview, I feel deeply sorry and sad about hurting Chinese people," she said in the statement.
"I am willing to take part in the relief work of China's earthquake, and wholly devote myself to helping affected Chinese people."
Helena Bonham Carter dropped by Yardley Cosmetics
Poor Helena should have thought before she spoke on this occasion.
The actress was dropped by cosmetics brand Yardley after her campaign in the early 1990s, when she made the mistake of admitting she doesn't even wear make-up.
Oops.
Helena made the revelation during an interview, questioning why she had been chosen for the adverts.
Chris Brown dropped from Got Milk? after Rihanna assault
Chris Brown was dropped from the Got Milk campaign in 2009 after he was arrested and charged with assaulting his girlfriend at the time, Rihanna.
The brand said at the time: "The Milk Mustache campaign is taking the allegations against Chris Brown very seriously.
"We are very proud and protective of the image of the Milk Mustache campaign and the responsible message it sends to teens. Mr. Brown's ad was launched last fall and is scheduled to end this week."
Brown was sentenced to five years probation and six months' community labour after pleading guilty.
