The stars were out to toast the opening of the mega-sized Valentino flagship location with the brand's first U.S. couture show, and Katie Holmes was one of the many A-listers present to fete the event.

The Giver actress, 35, adorned in the high-fashion label, looked elegant with an edgy twist on the red carpet on Wednesday, Dec. 10. Holmes wore a long-sleeved pleated mini with a red trim along the waistline. She carried a crimson envelope clutch, and shiny nude pumps made her toned legs appear miles long.
As a longtime fan of the Italian fashion house, Holmes told Us Weekly that she was excited to see the couture show. "[Valentino's] designs are timeless and they look so beautiful on every woman," she told Us. "The name Valentino just means sophistication."

For beauty, the Alterna Haircare Global Brand Ambassador went for a clean look with nude matte lipstick and lightly bronzed skin. Holmes' dark brown mane was pinned up in a loose updo with tousled strands left out.

The elusive actress opened up on the set of her advertising shoot with Alterna, and dished on her go-to hairstyle. "A ponytail," she said in the clip. "I like it because it's easy." That wasn't all for the hair talk, Holmes also revealed the color she's been dying to try. "I kind of always wanted to be a redhead," she said. "I just want to know what that feels like."
