Mrs Schiffer and her film producer husband Matthew Vaughn were guests at the PM’s country estate in the first three months of 2014
Chillaxing David Cameron invited supermodel Claudia Schiffer round for dinner at Chequers, official papers revealed today.
Cabinet Office documents show Mrs Schiffer and her film producer husband Matthew Vaughn were guests at the PM’s country estate in the first three months of 2014.
The pair were at a gathering with US ambassador Matthew Barzun.
Their names are on a roll call released by Number 10 of political, diplomatic, military and business leaders to visit the Buckinghamshire mansion.
Marks & Spencer boss Marc Bolland, ex-MI5 chief Baroness Manningham-Buller and the Queen’s private secretary Sir Christopher Geidt were also guests.
Papers released also show how the millionaire PM accepted a £279 pair of shoes by designer outfit Oliver Sweeney this year.
And Mr Cameron received a £150 watch from Interpol.
Under Parliamentary rules ministers are allowed to keep “small value” gifts - defined as any worth up to £140.
Any more expensive items which they wish to keep are discounted by £140 - meaning Mr Cameron effectively got his posh shoes half-price.
Other senior ministers to be showered with lavish gifts included Tory Chief Whip Michael Gove, who took more than £1,300 worth of opera tickets.
Property tycoon Gerald Ronson donated tickets worth £462, former banker Ken Costa £476 and English National Opera chairman Martyn Rose £394.
Mr Gove - then Education Secretary - also received football tickets worth £500 from a firm called Access Industries.
