We love a good celebrity friendship here at Mirror Celebs, so we totally approve of this one.

Footy ace Wayne Rooney and Ed Sheeran had a bit of a sing-along together after the guitar strummer's Manchester gig.

Ed was in Manchester city centre at the Sir Ralph Abercrombie pub when he was joined on stage by the footballer.

A source told The Sun: "Ed had brought his guitar to put on a show and he was joined by Rooney. They sang some of Ed's hits."

And if that duo wasn't quite bizarre enough, they were later joined by Example.

The source continued: "Then Example got up. It was like a group of mates in their local."

Where was our invite?

Earlier on in the night, Wayne tweeted a picture of of him with his arm around Ed under the caption: "Brilliant time @edsheeran concert last night. Thanks for a great night mate."
