FORMER bachelorette Alana Wilkie revealed on Tuesday that she and her boyfriend of five months are expecting their first child.
Now Wilkie has spoken out about the surprise news and how her Perth Demons WAFL player weren’t expecting to fall pregnant so soon.
“I was so nervous because we’d spoken about marriage and children on so many occasions,” she told THEFIX.com.au, “but we always thought it was going to be a few years away.
“But I think he’s ready to be a dad and I didn’t think he doubted that either. We’re both really happy.”

But things could have turned out very differently for the pair, with Billings initially offered the role of The Bachelor before he and Wilkie hooked up in June.
“He got a message from someone around January or February and he said that he couldn’t at the time,” Alana says. “Then later on I ended up being on The Bachelor and we ended up together anyway.
“I would’ve got so jealous if he was on there because ‘coz I would’ve wanted him, I wouldn’t have wanted him to date any of the other girls.”

Wilkie also revealed she hasn’t spoken to Blake’s girlfriend Louise Pillidge, who has moved to Perth to be with Garvey.
“I haven’t spoken to (Louise) since the finale,” she says. “I’m in contact with the girls and I went (to Melbourne) for Amber’s birthday. Sam (Frost) was there, I didn’t think it was right at that point in time to be in contact with Louise.
“But I might now that she’s in Perth, ‘cause I’m not sure how many people she knows here.”
“I’d be fine to catch up with Louise but no double dates with Blake.” #AWKWARD.
