HE’S been back in the real world for just over a week, and Lawson Reeves — Australia’s latest reality TV ‘love rat’ — says the media frenzy is finally starting to die down.
But the amateur magician’s month-long cheating scandal with Cat inside the Big Brother house is bound to haunt him for a long time to come and admitted, “I signed my life away” from the first moment he set foot inside the house.

“I went on the program and made my life a public viewing, I knew that my life would be on show,” he told news.com.au.

The 23-year-old is still dealing with the fallout from the heated affair and says every day there’s another update on his personal life, most of which are untrue.
“One even said I was in a relationship with [close friend] Aisha after photos came out of us hugging,” he said.
“You pick your battles, I know I’ve done the wrong thing. I’ve said all along that I expected to come out and have no support,” the Perth electrician said, adding that he’s been surprised by the amount of positive reactions from fans when they recognise him in public.

Lawson still hasn’t spoken to long-term girlfriend Candice Leeder since being evicted last Monday night and admitted he’s stopped trying to contact her.
“I’ve been respecting her wishes, I know that she is struggling and all of the attention and the stories that the mags are writing aren’t helping either.
“It rubs salt into the wound that needs to heal and that really sucks ... she’s never going to speak. It’s not going to happen but I want them [the media] to leave her alone.”
As for his new relationship with Cat Law, the 31-year-old divorced midwife he started seeing in the house, Lawson said the pair are taking things very slow. “We’re being very conscious of the other people involved. We’re very aware that it’s not easy for Candice.
“I’m always going to care for Candice, I don’t have a bad word to say about her, she is a lovely
person and like I’ve said, I now have to deal with the fact that I’ve broken her heart.”

While a definite move away from hometown Perth is on the cards, he said he won’t necessarily be locating to Melbourne to be with Cat.
“It’s all up in the air at the moment, I’m just trying to move where the work is and all of that. I’m definitely moving from Perth ... Perth is a very small place and I’m after a new beginning, a fresh start.”
There has been plenty of speculation that Lawson is angling for a career in radio or television now that his ‘15 minutes’ have ended. But the electrician revealed he wants to be on the big screen and has “wanted to be an actor since he was in year one” and went on Big Brother to get a foot in the door.
