TWO-TIME Oscar winner, Christoph Waltz, has reportedly nabbed the role of the new villain in the upcoming James Bond film.
Entertainment columnist Baz Bamigboye tweeted the casting news first which would see the actor appear alongside Daniel Craig in the 24th Bond flick.
Following the tweet a production source said the Austrian actor will play Bond’s nemesis, but also suggests the role is not an out-and-out villain.
“It’s not immediately evident whether the part’s friend, or foe, or a bit of both,” the source said.
Variety magazine had reported in June that 12 Years a Slave’s Chiwetel Ejiofor was being sought to play the next James Bond villain but that now appears unlikely.
