Geri Halliwell is a bride-to-be and while she might have been super-loud back in the Spice Girls days, her elegant diamond ring is far from it.
The 42-year-old, who flew in to London’s Heathrow Airport with her fiancé Horner on Tuesday (November 11), was later seen in London trying her best not to flash her new blinging addition about.
Dressed casually in a pair of blue jeans and brown boots with a khaki green jacket, Geri managed a little smile.
A representative for Geri has said: “Everyone is really pleased for them and wish them happiness and good health together for many, many years to come."
Geri, who was once known as Ginger Spice, copied the latest celebrity trend started by Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch last week - with an understated ad in the Births, Marriages and Deaths pages of The Times.
The official announcement read: “The engagement is announced between Christian, son of Mr and Mrs G.M. Horner and Geraldine, daughter of the Mr L.F. Halliwell and Mrs A. Parkinson.”
The old fashioned announcement comes less than a week after Cumberbatch announced his engagement to theatre director Sophie Hunter.
Rumours of an impending engagement between the singer and the 40-year-old Red Bull Racing team boss first surfaced in July, as exclusively reported in our sister paper the Sunday Mirror.
Geri was said to have told friends: “I am the happiest I have been in my life.”
The couple have been dating the start of the year. No date has yet been set for the wedding but Geri did tweet the couple's happy news earlier today.
