Better be brave! Tris Prior and her hunky beau Four are back in the highly anticipated sequel to 2014’s film adaptation of Veronica Roth’s YA novel Divergent. This new installment, titled Insurgent, is set to be released on March 20, 2015, but the teaser trailer has already been released, and it doesn’t disappoint.
In the minute-long clip, Tris (played by a now-short-haired Shailene Woodley) seems to be caught in a dream (or perhaps a fear landscape) in which her mother (Ashley Judd) is trapped in a house on fire that is being torn from its foundation. The Dauntless recruit then flings herself off buildings, scrambling to save her mom.
As fans of Divergent know, Tris’ mother died in the first film, so her attempts to rescue her will likely be futile. There’s no sign of Tris’ sexy boyfriend Four (Theo James) in the clip, but with all the action going on, his absence is almost not noticeable … almost.
The plot of Insurgent finds Tris and Four traveling to other factions looking for allies against the evil leader of the Erudite Jeanine (Kate Winslet).
