One of football's biggest characters is heading into the I'm a Celebrity jungle
Footballer Jimmy Bullard is as well known for his antics off the pitch as he is on.
Renowned as one of the game's great jokers, Jimmy is sure to bring a bit of humour to the jungle after being confirmed as a contestant on this year's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!
The 36-year-old midfielder appeared relaxed and excited as he landed Down Under and is said to be a big fan of the reality show.
But what do we need to know about long-haired Jimmy before he hits our screens?
Jimmy started his footballing career at non-league Gravesend and Northfleet, before he was snapped up by West Ham in 1999, where he failed to make a first-team appearance.
In 2003 he went to Wigan and helped the Latics to promotion to the Premier League, and a League Cup final appearance.
Fulham signed him for £2.5 million in 2006, but Jimmy started experiencing health problems soon afterwards.
After rupturing ligaments in his knee while playing Jimmy fought back to fitness and signed for Hull, only to be set back by the injury again in 2009.
The star spent three years trying to regain his fitness but eventually hung up his boots in 2012, saying: "I have no regrets – I've enjoyed myself, I've loved every minute. I'm not giving up football thinking 'I wish I had done that' because I've tried it all."
Aside from his footballing achievements Jimmy has carved out a reputation as a bit of a joker and as an occasional pundit.
From his infamous celebration after scoring for Hull to his hilarious attempt at a Sky Sports profile video, Jimmy is renowned for bringing a bit of humour to the beautiful game.
In his book, released earlier this year, Jimmy told how he once had a fight with teammate Nick Barmby in a car park in Humberside after they fell out during a game for Hull.
