Amal Alamuddin Bored and Totally Over the Golden Globes 2015: Hilarious Reaction Photos

Jan 17, 2015

So blasé! Although Amal Alamuddin was surrounded by stars like Oprah, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, and Matthew McConaughey inside the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, George Clooney's wife could hardly contain her boredom at the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 11.

The cameras panned frequently to Clooney's statuesque human rights lawyer spouse, who accompanied him to the Golden Globes for their first Hollywood event and red carpet as husband and wife. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler put it perfectly in their opening monologue, when they praised Alamuddin for her tremendous accomplishments in the international justice arena.

"George Clooney married Amal Alamuddin this year," Fey noted to the crowd. "Amal is a human rights lawyer who worked on the Enron case, was an adviser to Kofi Annan regarding Syria, and was selected for a three-person commission investigating rules of war violations in the Gaza Strip. So tonight, her husband is getting a lifetime achievement award."

A reserved Alamuddin cracked a slight smile at the joke while her proud husband laughed in delight. However, for the duration of the show, she looked incredibly uninterested.

As celebrity after celebrity took to the stage, the British barrister politely applauded industry heavyweights for their achievements in film, TV, and music.

At times, the Lebanese-born classic beauty — clad in a black Dior gown with white gloves — attempted to force a smile, occasionally unable to contain her sheer boredom as the awards ceremony trailed on.

She also hilariously appeared unenthused on the red carpet earlier Sunday evening, too.

Alamuddin did, however, beam when her handsome hubby took to the stage to receive his lifetime achievement award and gushed about their marriage of nearly four months. "It's a humbling thing to find someone you love," Clooney told the crowd, referring to his days as Hollywood's most eligible bachelor: "Even better if you've been waiting your whole life. And when your whole life is 53 years."

He got visibly emotional and said: "Amal, whatever alchemy it is that brought us together, I couldn't be more proud to be your husband."

In response, Alamuddin's eyes sparkled as she gazed up at her husband with adoration.

See her brilliant bored faces above!
