MARVEL’S iconic X-Men series will make it to the small screen after all.
A Fox Entertainment executive has confirmed rumours the hit movie franchise will be adapted as a new live-action TV show.
“It’s in negotiations,” Fox Entertainment chairman Gary Newman said. “We’re cautiously optimistic, we had a good meeting with them. That will not be on a fast track creatively. This is just the deal, now we have to find the creative.”
Mr Newman said it was unlikely the series would be ready before the 2016-2017 TV season.

It’s not clear which characters will appear in the TV show or whether any of its biggest stars, such as Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender or Halle Berry, will feature.
This won’t be the first time the comics-based mutant superhero team will appear on TV.
Back in the 1990s, X-Men was an animated series broadcast in the US on the Fox Network.
