The 56-year-old Queen of Pop gave paps a little more than they bargained for when she posed for the cameras
Move over Kim Kardashian - because Madonna is determined to get in on the "age of the ass".
The Like A Virgin singer made sure she was the talk of tinseltown after flashing her bum to cameras at last night's Grammys - and this was no ordinary wardrobe malfunction.
In fact, Madge called it an "inspired, accidental" moment.
Talking to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show the morning after, the 56-year-old said: "I had an inspired wardrobe malfunction moment.
"As I was walking away, I wasn't mooning - I just lifted my dress up. Mooning is like naked butt.
"Everyone’s seen my naked butt already. Not for a while, not since the '90s."
"It's the age of ass, isn't it? It was me having fun and being cheeky, no pun intended."
Madge made the conscious decision to hitch up her black leather corset and show off her derriere to the world - with just a thin black thong to cover her, er, modesty.
The 56-year-old donned the risque bodice, complete with leather gloves and thigh high boots, as she hit the red carpet.
Keeping her hair in tight curls, and wearing a hat, Madonna ignored the leg and boob rule as she showed off her lithe limbs and her ample cleavage in the "unique" ensemble.
And later in the night Madonna threatened to steal the show at the Grammys as she got the whole audience on their feet.
The iconic pop star put on a sizzling performance of her latest single Living For Love, and stunned the crowd with her theatrical show.
Featuring acrobatics, demons and a revealing red and black ensemble, Madonna was a devil in disguise at the prestigious bash.
