Pitch Perfect 2, Jurassic World Trailers Debut During Super Bowl: Watch

Feb 2, 2015

Super-sized movie fun! As the Seattle Seahawks took on the ultimately victorious New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday, Feb. 1, the commercial breaks played host to some exciting new film trailers.

Amidst talked-about ad spots for Budweiser, Nationwide Insurance, and Snickers, teasers aired for a bevy of upcoming flicks including the Paul Walker-starring Furious 7 and the bodice-ripping Fifty Shades of Grey adaptation.

The upcoming Pitch Perfect sequel, Pitch Perfect 2, got in on the fun and released a wild new preview for the Super Bowl.

The comedy about a cappella, which reunites original stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, and Brittany Snow, among others, took an athletic note with the latest teaser. The clip opens with dramatic shots of the Barden Bellas onstage as the college coeds face off against other teams in an international competition.

Footage rolls of the women partying and practicing as Fat Amy (Wilson) says to her singing friends, "Guys, there's gonna be some haters out there. They're gonna look at us — Team USA — and be like, 'Why is the most talented one Australian?'"

The trailer then features a cameo from some NFL stars themselves, as the Green Bay Packers take on the Bellas with a rendition of the Destiny's Child classic "Bootylicious."

Due out on May 15, Pitch Perfect 2 is a follow-up to the funny 2012 original. The unexpected runaway success grossed more than $113 million globally on a $17 million budget.

Another highly anticipated installment, the fourth Jurassic Park movie Jurassic World, also got a spot in the sun during the Super Bowl. The substantial look at the action adventure film opens with a scene at a water park called Jurassic World.

Tourists hold cameras and stare intently ahead as a massive dinosaur emerges from the water to feed on a shark, which is being suspended in the air.

"The park is open," the ad reads, as visitors are shown mingling with a variety of dinosaurs in Jurassic World. Chris Pratt makes his big entrance into the preview as Owen, a dinosaur trainer at the park. He is soon joined by fellow castmate Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays a staffer named Claire. Claire has made a grave mistake in creating a new and terrifying dinosaur for the theme park.

"You just went and made a new dinosaur?" Owen questions as the beast is seen wrecking havoc. "Probably not a good idea."

Due out on June 12, Jurassic World will hit theaters 14 years after the debut of the last Jurassic Park movie, Jurassic Park III. It was preceded by 1997's The Lost World: Jurassic Park and the original 1993 smash Jurassic Park
