The Living for Love singer infamously revealed some of her butt on the red carpet at last month's Grammy Awards won't apologise for it

Madonna is done with people who think they can tell her not to expose her bum.

The Living for Love singer who infamously revealed some of her butt on the red carpet at last month's Grammy Awards believes it is sexist and ageist for anyone to suggest that she should not show off her figure as she wishes.

She said: "I take care of myself. I’m in good shape. I can show my ass when I’m 56, or 66 - or 76.

"Who’s to say when I can show my ass? It’s sexism. It’s ageism. And it’s a kind of discrimination."

Despite appearing to be indifferent about people's opinions of her, the 56-year-old star has admitted she is "only human" but would like to eventually find a place where she is unharmed by anything.

She shared: "I’m only human. I’d like to get to the point where nothing can shake me. Sometimes I’m there, sometimes I’m not."

Meanwhile, Madonna - who is known for breaking the mould - hopes that by defying the stereotypes of her age, she can make it better for women for generations to come.

She told the New York Daily News: "I always feel like I’m breaking some taboo, or coming up against something.

"People have always judged me, and given me s**t about one thing or another. Now they’re giving me s**t about age.

"It’s b******t. And mostly I hear it from women. I feel I should be hearing support - like, ‘Good for you.’

"It’s like everything else. I’m opening doors for women behind me who one day won’t have to deal with this s**t that I deal with."
