The Duchess is also known as 'Gaga' to her grandchildren and has an iPad, an interview has revealed
The Duchess of Cornwall’s son Tom Parker Bowles has revealed his mother regrets sending him to boarding school aged seven.
When his daughter Lola recently celebrated her seventh birthday, food writer Tom reminded Camilla that he started to board at prep school eight months after he turned the same age.
“My mother was slightly appalled, saying she’d never do it again, but it was the thing you did, you know,” he told The Times of his days at Summer Fields Prep School in Oxford.
He later went on to board at Eton - the same school as Princes William and Harry.
He also described his mum, who married Prince Charles in April 2005, as 'tough' to deal with the criticism she has faced.
He said: “God knows, my mother has been called every name under the sun.
“My mum’s got an iPad now and I was like, ‘Don’t read the below-the-line stuff’, and of course she’s, ‘You’re not going to believe what they just said here! Check this out’.”
The Duchess, who is known as “Gaga” to her grandchildren, is a brilliant grandmother who works incredibly hard, Tom, 39, said.
Asked whether she thought she would be Queen one day, he replied: “I don’t know. I have no idea. That is one for far greater minds and constitutionalists than me.”
