Derek and Julianne Hough celebrated Thanksgiving once again by launching a now-annual dance wars competition! And 2014's dance wars will go down in history as one to remember!
Not only did Hough take things to a technical other level, enlisting the help of a drone to make some spectacular camera recordings of his Thanksgiving dance moves, but his family (and main competitor, Maria Menounos) managed to enlist the participation of a host of other celebrity pals.
Mark Ballas and his Dancing With The Stars partner Sadie Robertson joined in (accompanied by other Duck Dynasty family members). And so did Kate Hudson (with mom Goldie Hawn behind the camera), even getting Kurt Russell in on the dancing act!
The challenge was kicked off by the Houghs, dancing to Sheppard's "Geronimo," while wearing turkey hats. Things in their household soon went outside (and even onto the roof) for an ever-improving array of amazing dance videos.
Menounos responded to Hough's initial challenge with a kitchen rendition of Taylor Swift's "Shake it Off," promising, "we are gonna crush everyone tonight!!” A couple hours later, having been completely floored by the fact that Hough had used a drone to make one of his videos, she upped her game, posting an amazingly bootylicious version of Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda."
Over to Duck Dynasty for their contribution: Ballas and Robertson danced with other family members including Willie to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Fun" (look out for Willie's twerking at the end!)
But it was Kate Hudson and her famous family (including 63-year-old stepdad Kurt Russell, brothers Wyatt and Boston Russell, Oliver Hudson and model Cara Delevingne) whose rendition of "Uptown Funk" was the most unexpected!
