Not much of a surprise! Idina Menzel hinted in a recent interview that Disney's Frozen will be getting a sequel. The record-breaking smash hit became the highest-grossing animated movie in history back in May.
While speaking to The Telegraph, Menzel, 43, was asked if she could discuss about rumors of a sequel, the possible stage adaptation, and a Frozen short that may be on the way. She teased: "...They're all in the works!" (A Frozen short was confirmed last month.)
Is she game to participate in all three? "Yeah sure," she replied, noting that she's not signed up for a stage show just yet. "I don't know what will happen with that, but the movie hopefully. We'll see. I'm just going along for the ride."

Indeed she has. The Broadway veteran, who voices Elsa in the film, has enjoyed mainstream success with the film's theme song "Let it Go" since its release in November 2013. Frozen has also inspired wedding dresses, Halloween costumes, and "Let it Go" music covers. The song won Best Original Song at the Oscars in March.
"It was such a dream of mine to be in the Disney family and become an animated queen," Menzel told Cosmopolitan.com in April. As for whether she would reprise her role in a Broadway production? "I'm always afraid to hope for something because I don't want to be disappointed," she said at the time. "Instead of worrying, why not enjoy the idea of the positive outcome, and if it doesn't happen, you get over it."
