Kentucky weatherman Jude "Bones" Redfield gave a Halloween weather forecast with a difference thanks to the magic of green screen technology
It was the kind of weather you could feel in your bones as forecaster Jude Redfield gave the Halloween temperatures dressed as a skeleton.
Kentucky weatherman Jude Redfield used green screen technology to give the appearance of a skeleton reading the weather forecast.
The weatherman has surely entered the pantheon of immortal meteorologists along with John Kettley, Michael Fish and dare we say it Wincey Willis.
When forecasters read the weather they stand in front of a green screen. The weather map is then added to the screen by computer, giving the impression they are actually pointing at a map they can see.
Weather forecasters mustn't wear green as that part of their body will disappear in the background.
So Jude took advantage of this for a Halloween prank, wearing a green bodysuit with a skeleton on the front, giving the impression he had no body.
Introducing himself as Bones Redfield he played it straight as he gave a forecast of light showers and a little snow and advised young viewers that the weather would probably be nice enough to carry on their Trick or Treat festivities.
