Jade Fox was tragically killed in an accident on the popular destination Fraser Island, it has been reported
A 22-year-old British backpacker has been tragically killed in a car crash during her dream trip-of-a-lifetime.
Jade Fox was killed when the 4WD Landcruiser she was travelling in flipped over on the popular destination Fraser Island, on the east coast of Australia.
She was reportedly one of eight people in the vehicle at the time, enjoying a day out with a tourist company.
Two other female tourists, from Germany and in their 20s, were flown to nearby Hervey Bay Hospital by rescue helicopter, ABC News reports.
They were treated there for head and spine injures and remain in a stable condition.
CareFlight pilot Aaron Regan said police and paramedics were on the scene when they arrived to treat the casualties.
"It wasn't a nice incident to go to and obviously one of them has lost their lives," he told the ABC. "Hopefully the other seven recover."
Tributes have been paid to Miss Fox, from Maidstone in Kent, on Twitter following the fatal accident on Friday.
Miss Fox was reportedly travelling with a number of friends along Australia's east coast as part of a holiday.
RIP Jade, you'll be missed by all who had the pleasure to know you and experience the light, humour and love you bought to ones life.

One friend, Bryony MacLeod, tweeted: "RIP Jade, you'll be missed by all who had the pleasure to know you and experience the light, humour and love you bought to ones life."
Miss Fox had been in Australia six months, and is believed to have spent most of her time living in Woolloomooloo, east of Sydney.
It’s believed she was not wearing a seatbelt and hit her head when the accident happened, the Courier Mail reports.
The vehicle was part of a convoy of three 4WDs on a tag-along tour operated by the Rainbow Beach Adventure Company, the Australian news site says.
