UNFORSEEN things often happen at weddings — wardrobe malfunctions, cringe-worthy speeches, drunk family members, location disasters. But a surprise appearance by Maroon 5?

On December 6 last year, several brides and grooms got the shock of their life when Adam Levine and his band mates crashed their special day and started performing.

The band cruised around Los Angeles showing up uninvited at receptions and filmed the entire thing for a music video for their new song Sugar.

“It’s December 6th, 2014. We’re going to drive across L.A. and hit every wedding we possibly can. It’s going to be awesome,” Levine says at the beginning of the video.

Some of the reactions from the couples and wedding guests are priceless.

Wedding Crashers director David Dobkin, who is an old pal of Levine’s, even helmed the clip.

Sugar is the third single from Maroon 5’s fifth studio album, V, following Maps and Animals.
