Nev Schulman Is Single, But Does He Use Tinder?

Mar 1, 2015

Listen up, ladies: Catfish host Nev Schulman is single and ready to mingle — with you! Well, sort of. "I'm single," Schulman, 30, confirmed during a recent visit to Us Weekly's New York City headquarters to promote the fourth season of MTV's Catfish.

"If you live in small towns in Texas or Georgia, there's a good chance I'll be coming through [while taping Catfish]. Look for my 'Dating Tour' — I'll be posting that on my website soon," he joked. "It'll be conveyor belt-style dating. My assistant would be happy to schedule as many dates as my time allots for."

Kidding aside, the TV personality — who travels the country with sidekick Max Joseph to introduce online skeptics to their so-called catfishes — is looking for love after splitting from L.A. musician Shanee Pink in 2014. However, don't expect to find him and have the chance to 'swipe right' on dating apps like Tinder. Should fans of MTV's Wednesday night series come across someone posing as Schulman online, the man himself tells Us that sorry, they're nothing but catfish.

"I have never been on or used any dating websites. I've been in relationships for a long time, and maybe it's just because I've met wonderful women offline," he said. Schulman's instincts to find love IRL (in real life) are spot-on. After all, the classically trained dancer was catfished himself in 2009 by Angela Wesselman, who led Schulman to believe he was falling in love with a woman named Megan on Facebook. (As Schulman's 2010 film confirmed, Wesselman did have a daughter named Megan, but made up the entire relationship to lure him in.)

Catfish airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. (EST) on MTV.
